Infinite Tags

Let's face it. Your story isn't one-dimensional. It contains a little bit of everything. That's what makes it unique! This is why we created a system that allows you to tag your story with as many tags as you want. Not only that! You can tag your story with anything you can think of. Genres? Sure. Art style? Go ahead. Stage of production? No problem. Story location, specific scenarios, feelings you might get when reading… if you can imagine it you can tag it. And when you're done, assign each tag a percentage so users know how related the tag is to your story.

Branch

Story branching is a feature that allows you to create alternative stories from another's story. This is perfect for when you want to create a different ending, introduce a different perspective, or generally add new content. It's also a great way to create a new stand-alone story that's set in the same universe.

Collaborate

Collaboration has never been easier. Simply branch off another’s story and start making changes. Any change you make in a branch will not affect the original story. So a whole team/group/community of people can work collaboratively on the same project, doing different parts - whether that be different chapters or production roles - for the same chapter without affecting each other's work.

Combine

You can combine branches into a singular unified story. This allows creators to branch off from the original story, make changes, and then seamlessly combine those changes into the original story. Giving complete creative freedom for a creator to make changes without worry of affecting the original story whilst also allowing the original creator an opportunity to view and approve any proposed changes to their story.

Iterative Design

Content production hasn’t changed in a long time. You come up with an idea, spend a lot of time, energy and money working on it before releasing it to the world. And only after this, do you discover what readers liked and disliked. Alio Art approaches this differently. We live by iterative design principles. On this platform, you can fix and reupload content as often as you need whilst maintaining a history of all your changes. This way you can get your story ideas out fast whilst saving money. Receive feedback and go back to edit and rerelease your work quickly. Repeat the process until you have the best story ever.

Connect

Branches aren’t exclusive to creators. You can allow fans to branch off your story too. Giving them the ability to create new stories in your universe or even add new content to your story. Imagine fans coloring your black-and-white story for others or adding an extra panel to a page to explain a complex topic. It’s a whole new way to receive feedback and a whole new way to connect to your fan base.

Monetize

Not only does our donation system allow fans to contribute to stories they love but it allows creators to collect donations from any branch of a story. Fans know that full-color stories are more expensive than black-and-white line art which in turn is more expensive than rough drawings. As a result, some would rather have more story even if it comes at the cost of some quality. So creators can give readers the option to choose what their donation funds, giving readers and creators more freedom, more story content and more donations. Along with this, creators can set and collect royalties off fan-made stories within their universe.

Queues

Paywalls are a double-edged sword. They help creators make money but they do this by stopping readers from reading, which hurts creators in the long run. Worse still with piracy rampant, readers can easily sidestep these paywalls leaving the creator without even the ad revenue from the read. Alio Art’s Queue system is a new approach to paywalls. It is a community paywall system in which creators can set content to be released to the entire world once a target funding amount has been reached. It stops piracy as everybody can see all the released content at any time. But more importantly, it strongly encourages donations from fans to creators as literally every donation made reduces the time until new content is released.
